Divine readers, thank you for being here. Today we’ll be discussing the fabulous healing benefits of Magnesium and I’d love to share my Top Ten Tips on how to find your Magnesi-zen to support health & wellbeing. Individuals with type 2 diabetes, gastrointestinal diseases, alcohol dependence and the elderly are at risk of a magnesium deficiency. The initial symptoms of inadequate magnesium levels include nausea, weakness, fatigue and vomiting. If you are experiencing these symptoms, consult your doctor or nutritionist immediately.

Step 1 - Take a Relaxing Bath or, if like myself you only have a shower available, take a rejuvenating foot bath using 2 cups Magnesium flakes in warm water for a 20 minute soak.


Step 2 - Alternate Nostril Breathing, also known as Nadi Shodhana. This pranayama technique is great for balancing the nervous system and works by covering one nostril while you inhale through the other, release that nostril and block the opposite side, exhale, inhale, switch, exhale, inhale, switch and so on for at least 10 breaths but for up to 15-20 minutes if you have time, for maximum effects. Why not combine with your foot bath or relaxing bath soak!


Step 3 -Spinal Movement, move your spine forward, back, side to side, twist, circle and move however feels good for you in this moment.


Step 4 - Neck Articulation, just as we did with the spine, move your neck slowly and mindfully (please bare in mind that this video is sped up x 6) in all directions. These days the use of smart phones and laptops are decreasing the mobility and functionality of our necks and spines, so the more frequent your movement breaks, the better!


Step 5 - Clasping the hands behind your back or holding elbow to elbow, open the front of your shoulders & heart.


Step 6 - Single or double-wrap the arms, inhale and raise you elbows toward the ceiling, opening the back of the shoulders.


Step 7 - Yogi Squat, also known as Malasana to Rag Doll (Wide leg forward fold) x 10 mindful breaths. Breathe deep, make space, release your built up tension.


Step 8 - Gentle Assisted Neck Twists. From your Malasana, rest the head into the hands comfortably and twist a little more with each exhale as long as it feels good for you.


Step 9 - Self-massage whilst replenishing those Magnesium levels using BetterYou, Magnesium range. Pay special attention to the souls of the feet & heel pressure points and any aching muscles you are experiencing.


Step 10 - Legs up the Wall Pose, Savasana. This is a deeply restorative pose which aids in eliminating stress, calming the central nervous system and improving sleep.
